GWI Logistics Division

The GWI Logistics Division originally developed from the necessity of moving vast amounts of supplies, vehicles, power generation, life support, and other equipment into widely scattered work sites throughout the dangerous environment in the aftermath of the 2003 Iraq War.  As a result, GWI developed an expertise in international trade law, customs, procurement, and transportation.

GWI Goldkey Property Solutions

Goldkey Property’s unique turnkey corporate accommodation in Baghdad’s International Zone provides secure four-star housing to the Task Force for Business and Stability Operations (TFBSO) and corporate investors in the heart of Iraq’s capital.
GWI Goldkey Properties are renovated, refurbished, and then furnished with materials and equipment purchased from the local economy.  Our international staff trains local nationals in construction and finishing techniques.  We develop purchasing agents and increase the quality of products by ordering materials not otherwise found in local markets – developing a new demand with distributors.

GWI Oil & Gas Sector

As the development of the Oil Industry has become the number one economic priority for the Iraqi government, GWI has created a special project team that draws upon the assets and resources of its construction, logistics, and security divisions to provide services in this sector.

Management experience in logistic security operations, oilfield services, Ministerial level negotiations, and specific Iraqi oil sector knowledge and expertise is combined with integral operational resources and capabilities to fully support the operations of companies seeking to undertake work in the Iraqi oilfields.

GWI is actively working to bridge the gap between foreign and local Iraq oil sectors.  GWI is presently managing the import of products and equipment from foreign companies to Iraqi oil companies and providing oil executives life support and security services.  Over the years, GWI has developed its “on the ground” relationships with a number of International and local Iraqi key-players in the oil sector.

Natural Disaster Relief Teams

Natural disasters such as earthquakes, hurricanes, tsunamis, floods, and droughts often occur without any prior warning and can devastate entire communities, cities, regions, and even countries.  The disaster recovery process is comprised of three main phases:

Relief: Following a disaster, the first concern is effective relief – helping all of those affected to recover from the immediate effects of the disaster with the provision of food, clothing, shelter, and medical care to the victims.  Relief work takes place immediately after the disaster – usually for several weeks.  With disasters such as droughts, it may last several months or even years.

Restoration: This phase involves working to restore the basic services which the people need so that they can return to the normal pattern of life which they had preceding the disaster.

Rebuilding: Linked with restoration, this involves the rebuilding of homes, businesses, and critical infrastructure.  Preparation for future disasters requires consideration of the design of stronger buildings and other risk mitigation initiatives.

Self-Sufficient Emergency Response

GWI has a team drawn from senior management with expertise in construction, life support, logistics, medical treatment, and security – all the necessary skill sets that must be rapidly mobilized and deployed to disaster zones and engage in the three main phases of disaster recovery.

A self-sufficient GWI Emergency Response Team can be deployed worldwide within 48 hours to join the vital initial relief efforts.  Our team’s ability to be self-sufficient avoids tying up resources that are best channelled towards providing aid and assistance to the disaster victims.  The safety of people is priority.
